Year 9 Marine Studies Pool Swim Test

Cost per student = $8

Marine studies students are required to complete a swimming test to assess their swimmin ability as part of the syllabus. The swimming test involves:

Swimming 200meteres in still water in a recognisable stroke
Swimming 25 metres fuly clothes
Swimming 10 metres underwater
Treading water fr 3 minutes
Remove clothing while treading water
Make a trouser float
Correctly fit a life jacket
Simulate swimming under a capsized boat

Students will need to bring:

Swimmers and goggles
Towel
Water bottle
Recess
Long pants and long sleeve shirt that can get wet
